How we weigh evidence
We prefer primary research, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses where they are relevant and available. We distinguish human research from animal and in-vitro or laboratory work, and observational findings from tested interventions. Stronger evidence, preliminary findings, limitations, and uncertainty should be made clear rather than compressed into health hype.
Sources, independence, and updates
Material scientific claims should have an appropriate source trail. Articles should identify important limitations, conflicts, and unknowns where relevant. Editorial judgments are guided by evidence quality and reader clarity. Articles may be updated when evidence materially changes or when a correction improves accuracy. AI may assist workflow, but factual scientific claims require source verification.
